Allar should have been long gone. The Steelers pounced, and earned a B-.

The Steelers did not reach, did not trade up, did not blink. They just waited, and Drew Allar fell into pick 78.

They will regret leaving interior defensive lineman for another day if the season turns on it. They are betting Muhammad III proves the room right and everyone else wrong. Quarterback is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

The weekend tilted hard toward the defense.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the interior defensive lineman spot they never got to.
