TommyScout43 DRAFTING FOR THEBears
Draft Grade — Bears

Thieneman should have been long gone. The Bears pounced, and earned a B-. The Bears spent the weekend waiting on one name, and it fell: Dillon Thieneman, the No. 35 name on the board, in pick 57. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B-.
The edge rusher hole is the one line item this class does not answer. They will need World to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it.
The roster is better shaped than it was, with linebacker chief among the fixes. Nearly every premium pick went to that side of the ball.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the edge rusher spot they never got to.
Pick Analysis
Pick25
Rnd1
Sonny Styles
In pick 25 they get a green-dot type in the middle. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick57
Rnd2
Dillon Thieneman
They robbed the room for Dillon Thieneman here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Pick89
Rnd3
Zachariah Branch
The board had Zachariah Branch higher than the 89th pick, and the wide receiver fell to them anyway. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick129
Rnd4
Isaiah World
They paid up for Isaiah World at pick No. 129 when waiting would have done the job. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
