Draft Grade — Commanders
Overall

FutureB-
The Commanders robbed the room for Blue. Final grade: B. Thirty-one other rooms let Jaydon Blue slide, and the Commanders were the ones holding the card at the 205th overall pick. Highway robbery. More right than wrong, and a B to match.
The tight end hole is the one line item this class does not answer. Wide receiver was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job. Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.
All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
Pick Analysis
Pick29
Rnd1
Mike Green
In the 29th pick they get a bendy edge with upside. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick61
Rnd2
Xavier Watts
They robbed the room for Xavier Watts here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick128
Rnd4
Jordan Phillips
Steal is underselling it; Jordan Phillips at pick 128 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. The roster fit checks out.
Pick205
Rnd6
Jaydon Blue
A running back of that caliber at slot 205 is the definition of value, full stop. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick245
Rnd7
Roc Taylor
Roc Taylor at the 245th overall pick is right where the board had him, plain and simple. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
