Draft Grade — Titans
Overall B
ValueC+ NeedB TradesB+ FutureB-
A passer of the future in Ward, and a B, for the Titans.

Start where it matters. The Titans took Cam Ward to run the offense for the next decade, and every other decision this weekend bends around that one. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B.

The Diggs pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over. Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Martinez.

The interior defensive lineman hole is the one line item this class does not answer.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but interior defensive lineman.

Pick Analysis
Pick1 Rnd1 Cam Ward
In No. 1 they get a long-term answer under center. A real need, handled.
Pick63 Rnd2 Jalen Royals
No edge and no loss on Jalen Royals in the 63rd overall pick; it is a wash and a sensible one. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick66 Rnd3 Ashton Gillotte
A wild overpay on Ashton Gillotte in the 66th pick, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick80 Rnd3 Elijah Arroyo
Elijah Arroyo in Round 3, Pick 16 is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick103 Rnd4 Zy Alexander
By-the-book stuff, Zy Alexander at the Round 4 slot squarely in line with his ranking. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick123 Rnd4 Kyle Williams
Kyle Williams at slot 123 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick141 Rnd5 Malachi Moore
They paid sticker price for Malachi Moore in pick 141, and that is fine. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick167 Rnd5 Jalen Rivers
Jalen Rivers in pick No. 167 lands just on the right side of the ledger. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick178 Rnd6 Damien Martinez
Steal is underselling it; Damien Martinez at the Round 6 slot is a heist with the alarm still ringing. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick188 Rnd6 Fadil Diggs
Fadil Diggs at the 188th pick is an overdraft of the loud, memorable kind. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick189 Rnd6 Maxen Hook
A real head-scratcher, Maxen Hook in Round 6, Pick 13 is miles ahead of his ranking. Stacking talent where they were already deep.
Pick257 Rnd7 Nick Martin
They talked themselves into Nick Martin at No. 257, and the board did not agree. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
