Draft Grade — Titans

FutureB-
The Titans finally solved quarterback, and it carried them to a B. After circling the position for what felt like forever, the Titans committed. Cam Ward is the quarterback now, and the roster gets built to his timeline.
However the rest shakes out, Martinez at that price is a win they earned. Every board in the league had Reed lower, and that gap is the story. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped interior defensive lineman, which is a strange place to end up.
Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
Pick Analysis
Pick1
Rnd1
Cam Ward
In the 1st overall pick they get the arm they will build around. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick58
Rnd2
Jayden Higgins
Jayden Higgins in No. 58 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick81
Rnd3
Jordan Burch
No edge and no loss on Jordan Burch in the 81st pick; it is a wash and a sensible one. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick89
Rnd3
Charles Grant
By-the-book stuff, Charles Grant at pick 89 squarely in line with his ranking. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick103
Rnd4
Zy Alexander
They paid sticker price for Zy Alexander in pick No. 103, and that is fine. A minor itch, scratched.
Pick120
Rnd4
Kyle Williams
A reach for Kyle Williams in Round 4, Pick 18; a little patience would have been rewarded. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick141
Rnd5
Antwaun Powell-Ryland
This one needs a full-page explanation: Antwaun Powell-Ryland in the Round 5 slot, miles early. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick166
Rnd5
Elijah Roberts
Elijah Roberts at slot 166 is a conviction pick that outran the value. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick167
Rnd5
Jaylen Reed
Jaylen Reed in pick No. 167 is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Pick188
Rnd6
Damien Martinez
You do not let a running back like Damien Martinez reach pick 188 and blink. They did not. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
