Draft Grade — Titans
Overall

FutureA+
The Titans lost the trade table, and the C+ tells the story. The Titans lost the trade war and it was not close, handing partners the better end again and again. The good and the questionable cancel out to a C+.
They punted on edge rusher, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. However the rest shakes out, McClellan at that price is a win they earned. Offensive lineman is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
In the end, one you will need a couple of seasons to truly judge.
Pick Analysis
Pick36
Rnd2
Brian Thomas Jr.
Fair-plus on Brian Thomas Jr., a quiet win that adds up over a draft. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick38
Rnd2
Quinyon Mitchell
A clean, defensible pick in the 38th overall pick with a little surplus value in Quinyon Mitchell. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Pick100
Rnd3
Zak Zinter
They did well to land Zak Zinter in pick No. 100, just ahead of his grade. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick106
Rnd4
Matt Goncalves
Matt Goncalves at pick 106 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick173
Rnd5
Jaylan Ford
Jaylan Ford in the Round 5 slot is exactly on the number, no argument either way. It fills a real need, too.
Pick184
Rnd6
Michael Barrett
A reasonable price with a little left over, Michael Barrett in No. 184. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick196
Rnd6
Josh Proctor
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Josh Proctor at the 196th pick. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Pick223
Rnd7
Jase McClellan
Jase McClellan at slot 223 is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick228
Rnd7
Dylan McMahon
No edge and no loss on Dylan McMahon in slot 228; it is a wash and a sensible one. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
