Draft Grade — Titans
Overall
A-
ValueC+

FutureA+
The Titans fleeced the room on the phones and earned a A-. Nobody had Collin Oliver this high, and it is not close. The Titans reached 50 spots to get him at the Round 7 slot.
They won the margins on every swap, and it adds up fast. They punted on running back, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. They will answer for taking cornerback early while running back and interior defensive lineman went begging.
The imported veterans give this class a floor the draft picks could not on their own.
Add it up and few war rooms did better this weekend, Shavon Revel Jr. and all.
Pick Analysis
Pick24
Rnd1
Shavon Revel Jr.
Shavon Revel Jr. in the 24th overall pick is exactly on the number, no argument either way. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick39
Rnd2
Landon Jackson
A straight-up fair deal on Landon Jackson at Round 2, Pick 7, value and slot in agreement. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick44
Rnd2
Jihaad Campbell
The board had Jihaad Campbell higher than pick No. 44, and the linebacker fell to them anyway. The roster fit checks out.
Pick76
Rnd3
Jalen Milroe
A wild overpay on Jalen Milroe in pick 76, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick97
Rnd3
Jared Wilson
A market-rate offensive lineman, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Jared Wilson. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick103
Rnd4
Savion Williams
Savion Williams in slot 103 is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick120
Rnd4
Jacob Parrish
Hard to square with the roster. With positions of obvious need still on the board, Jacob Parrish adds a cornerback and leaves running back and interior defensive lineman untouched.
Pick139
Rnd5
Malachi Moore
They paid sticker price for Malachi Moore in the 139th pick, and that is fine. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Pick141
Rnd5
Antwaun Powell-Ryland
They jumped the gun on Antwaun Powell-Ryland, taking him earlier than his grade liked. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick148
Rnd5
Que Robinson
The board screamed and they did not listen, reaching into the next round for Que Robinson. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick167
Rnd5
Dont'e Thornton Jr.
They paid a round early for Dont'e Thornton Jr. in slot 167, more than the board wanted. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick178
Rnd6
Upton Stout
They paid up for Upton Stout at pick No. 178 when waiting would have done the job. They doubled down on a strength rather than a need.
Pick201
Rnd6
Thomas Fidone II
No edge and no loss on Thomas Fidone II in the 201st overall pick; it is a wash and a sensible one. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick233
Rnd7
Isaac TeSlaa
Isaac TeSlaa at pick 233 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick240
Rnd7
Collin Oliver
Collin Oliver in the Round 7 slot is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
