The Titans let Echoles fall into their laps, and walked away with a B+.

Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Titans were there to profit. Will Echoles, the No. 14 name on the board, should have been long gone before No. 66. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B+.

They are betting Umeozulu proves the room right and everyone else wrong. For all the activity, tight end went untouched, which is hard to explain.

Job largely done: offensive lineman settled and 6 of 8 of the wish list covered.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.

In pick No. 6 they get a bendy edge with upside. It fills the loudest need on the roster.

Will Echoles at Round 3, Pick 2 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.

The board had cheaper options than DJ Lagway at pick 101, and it noticed. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.

They did well to land Jayden Jackson in the 140th overall pick, just ahead of his grade. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
