Draft Grade — Titans
Overall C
ValueC- NeedB TradesF FutureA+
The Titans bled value on every deal, hence the C.

There is reaching, and then there is Trey Moore at the 118th overall pick. The Titans jumped the board by 137 and dared it to prove them wrong.

That is a running back worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. The trades bled value they could not afford to lose.

A whole weekend of picks and interior defensive lineman is somehow still a want. They went 6 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.

If Tyler Warren and a couple of the gambles land, hindsight will be kinder than this grade.

Pick Analysis
Pick17 Rnd1 Tyler Warren
In the Round 1 slot they get a security blanket over the middle, a steep price for the projection. A real need, handled.
Pick35 Rnd2 Harold Fannin Jr.
By-the-book stuff, Harold Fannin Jr. at pick No. 35 squarely in line with his ranking. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick45 Rnd2 Jihaad Campbell
Good price on Jihaad Campbell in the 45th overall pick, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. The roster fit checks out.
Pick80 Rnd3 Andrew Mukuba
They read the board right and Andrew Mukuba was the payoff at slot 80. A minor itch, scratched.
Pick81 Rnd3 Jake Majors
Jake Majors in the 81st pick is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick101 Rnd3 Ahmed Hassanein
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Ahmed Hassanein well ahead of where he belonged. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick117 Rnd4 Quinshon Judkins
Quinshon Judkins in pick 117 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick118 Rnd4 Trey Moore
Trey Moore at pick No. 118 is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick140 Rnd5 Lathan Ransom
Circle this one: Lathan Ransom at the 140th overall pick is a fall that decides a draft. Nice player, but the depth chart did not need him here.
Pick167 Rnd5 DJ Campbell
DJ Campbell at the Round 5 slot is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick176 Rnd6 Nick Nash
Nick Nash at slot 176 is the kind of overdraft that needs everything to break right. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick239 Rnd7 Isaac TeSlaa
A real head-scratcher, Isaac TeSlaa in Round 7, Pick 23 is miles ahead of his ranking. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
