Draft Grade — Titans
Overall C+
ValueB NeedB+ TradesF FutureC+
The Titans lost the trade table, and the C+ tells the story.

The Titans put a flag in the ground for Trey Moore, 34 picks before anyone else would have, and the value took the hit. Fine in stretches, shaky in others: a C+.

The trades bled value they could not afford to lose. On value alone, Jones makes the weekend a net positive.

That quarterback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

Hit on Jeremiyah Love and the swing picks, and this ages a lot better than it grades today.

Pick Analysis
Pick12 Rnd1 Jeremiyah Love
In No. 12 they get a three-down runner, and a steal at that. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick20 Rnd1 Carnell Tate
In the Round 1 slot they get a matchup problem out wide at a price that makes it sweeter. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick35 Rnd2 Zion Young
Zion Young in the 35th pick is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick66 Rnd3 Eli Stowers
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Eli Stowers at slot 66. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick69 Rnd3 Jacob Rodriguez
No edge and no loss on Jacob Rodriguez in pick No. 69; it is a wash and a sensible one. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick101 Rnd4 Malik Muhammad
Malik Muhammad at pick 101 is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Pick112 Rnd4 Logan Jones
They will replay Logan Jones at pick 112 for years; that is how good the value is. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick142 Rnd5 Gracen Halton
A market-rate interior defensive lineman, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Gracen Halton. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick144 Rnd5 Trey Moore
Trey Moore in the 144th overall pick is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick180 Rnd5 VJ Payne
The board had cheaper options than VJ Payne at slot 180, and it noticed. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick184 Rnd6 Keagen Trost
Nothing to complain about; Keagen Trost went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick194 Rnd6 Ephesians Prysock
Ephesians Prysock at the Round 6 slot is money in the bank, a cornerback taken below his worth. A want dressed up as a pick, at a spot they had covered.
Pick225 Rnd7 Barion Brown
Barion Brown at the 225th pick is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
