Draft Grade — Titans
Overall B-
ValueD+ NeedB+ TradesD+ FutureA
The Titans checked most of the boxes and earned a B-.

The Titans torched the value chart for Will Sheppard, taking him 146 spots sooner than anyone had him slotted. It nets out to a B-, which feels about right.

The Swinson pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged. For all the activity, running back went untouched, which is hard to explain.

The trades cost them a sliver of value they did not need to spend. It is a bet on later, and a defensible one for a team playing the long game.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but running back.

Pick Analysis
Pick13 Rnd1 Josh Simmons
The board had cheaper options than Josh Simmons at the 13th pick, and it noticed. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick38 Rnd2 Evan Stewart
A big swing on Evan Stewart at pick No. 38, well ahead of any board in the building. The roster fit checks out.
Pick108 Rnd4 Bradyn Swinson
Bradyn Swinson at the 108th overall pick is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick121 Rnd4 Eli Stowers
They reached a country mile for Eli Stowers at slot 121, and the board is aghast. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick144 Rnd5 Sonny Styles
Sonny Styles slid further than he should have, and Round 5, Pick 6 is lovely value for the safety. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick167 Rnd5 Will Sheppard
This one needs a full-page explanation: Will Sheppard in the Round 5 slot, miles early. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick170 Rnd5 Parker Brailsford
Taking Parker Brailsford in the 170th pick is close to grand larceny; an offensive lineman that good had no business lasting this long. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick181 Rnd6 Dani Dennis-Sutton
Dani Dennis-Sutton in slot 181 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick243 Rnd7 Cody Lindenberg
A linebacker of that caliber at pick No. 243 is the definition of value, full stop. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
