Draft Grade — Titans
Overall B-
ValueB NeedB TradesB- FutureB-
The Titans did the meat-and-potatoes work well: B-.

Of all the ways to open, the Titans chose the head-scratcher, spending No. 107 on Maason Smith with edge rusher, running back and other spots still wide open. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B-.

Leaving edge rusher unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. McKinstry falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. They left with offensive lineman solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.

Pick Analysis
Pick7 Rnd1 Rome Odunze
In pick 7 they get a No. 1 receiver at fair value.
Pick38 Rnd2 Kool-Aid McKinstry
Kool-Aid McKinstry at the Round 2 slot is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick107 Rnd4 Maason Smith
Of all the spots to shop, they chose DT-EDGE. Maason Smith in No. 107 leaves edge rusher, running back and other spots for later.
Pick145 Rnd5 Christian Jones
Christian Jones in Round 5, Pick 9 is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick184 Rnd6 Walter Rouse
Walter Rouse slid further than he should have, and slot 184 is lovely value for the offensive lineman. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick219 Rnd6 Michael Barrett
Michael Barrett in the 219th overall pick is fair value, right on his grade. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
