Draft Grade — Titans
Overall
B
ValueB

TradesB-
FutureB-
The Titans won the night they stopped McCaffrey from sliding. Grade: B. The Titans spent the weekend waiting on one name, and it fell: Luke McCaffrey, the No. 164 name on the board, in pick No. 184. Good, not great, and the B says as much.
They punted on edge rusher, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. The cost of the Tracy Jr. reach is exactly the players who went right after him.
Offensive lineman was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job. The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.
All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
Pick Analysis
Pick7
Rnd1
Joe Alt
In slot 7 they get a long-term starter on the line. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick38
Rnd2
Ennis Rakestraw Jr.
A tidy little value on Ennis Rakestraw Jr. in the Round 2 slot, a step better than break-even. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick107
Rnd4
Tyrone Tracy Jr.
A reach on Tyrone Tracy Jr. in the 107th overall pick; the board had better options right there. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick145
Rnd5
Kalen King
A reasonable price with a little left over, Kalen King in pick 145. Pure best-available; the position was not exactly begging.
Pick184
Rnd6
Luke McCaffrey
Circle this one: Luke McCaffrey at No. 184 is a fall that decides a draft. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick219
Rnd6
Tyrice Knight
Tyrice Knight at the 219th pick is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
