Draft Grade — Titans
Overall B-
ValueC+ NeedB TradesB- FutureB-
The Titans left with their quarterback, and a B- to match.

After circling the position for what felt like forever, the Titans committed. Cam Ward is the quarterback now, and the roster gets built to his timeline. Good, not great, and the B- says as much.

Every board in the league had McLeod lower, and that gap is the story. A whole weekend of picks and interior defensive lineman is somehow still a want.

The Castro value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere.

A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.

Pick Analysis
Pick1 Rnd1 Cam Ward
In pick 1 they get a franchise quarterback at fair value. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick35 Rnd2 JT Tuimoloau
They paid up for JT Tuimoloau at No. 35 when waiting would have done the job. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick103 Rnd4 Sebastian Castro
They let Sebastian Castro come to them and pounced at pick No. 103. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Pick120 Rnd4 Nohl Williams
A market-rate cornerback, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Nohl Williams. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick141 Rnd5 Hollin Pierce
Hollin Pierce in the Round 5 slot lands just on the right side of the ledger. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick167 Rnd5 Kalel Mullings
Kalel Mullings in the 167th pick is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick178 Rnd6 Jack Kiser
No edge and no loss on Jack Kiser in Round 6, Pick 2; it is a wash and a sensible one. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick188 Rnd6 Jalen McLeod
They reached into another round for Jalen McLeod, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
