Draft Grade — Titans
Overall
A
ValueA-

FutureA+
King should have been long gone. The Titans pounced, and earned a A. The value of the weekend has a name and a slot: Kobe King, the 239th overall pick, roughly 110 picks past where he belonged. The board rewarded a patient, disciplined weekend with a A.
McCord has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. They robbed the room blind at the table, and it lifts the grade on its own. The offensive lineman spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.
Add it up and few war rooms did better this weekend, Ashton Jeanty and all.
Pick Analysis
Pick12
Rnd1
Ashton Jeanty
Ashton Jeanty at the 12th overall pick is money in the bank, a running back taken below his worth. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick35
Rnd2
Tyler Warren
Somehow Tyler Warren was still sitting there in slot 35, and they pounced on premier tight end value. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick44
Rnd2
Emeka Egbuka
Emeka Egbuka in No. 44 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick76
Rnd3
Kyle McCord
Kyle McCord at pick 76 is an overdraft of the loud, memorable kind. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick101
Rnd3
Barrett Carter
Barrett Carter at Round 3, Pick 37 is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick118
Rnd4
Malachi Moore
A safety of that caliber at the Round 4 slot is the definition of value, full stop. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Pick140
Rnd5
Cam Skattebo
Taking Cam Skattebo in the 140th pick is close to grand larceny; a running back that good had no business lasting this long. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick167
Rnd5
Howard Cross III
Nothing to complain about; Howard Cross III went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick176
Rnd6
Jaylen Reed
They liked Jaylen Reed enough to skip the value, taking him in the 176th pick. Insurance at a position that did not really ask for it.
Pick239
Rnd7
Kobe King
They barely believed it either: Kobe King still on the board at the Round 7 slot. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
