You can fall in love with a player. You are not supposed to marry him in the wrong round. The Chiefs did exactly that with Jake Briningstool in the 204th pick.

They will regret leaving quarterback for another day if the season turns on it. They left with wide receiver solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
