Draft Grade — Bears
Overall B
ValueB NeedB- TradesB FutureB
Nothing loud, just a tidy B for the Bears.

For all the boxes ticked, the Bears skipped the loudest one: interior defensive lineman is exactly as bare as it was.

However the rest shakes out, Mitchell at that price is a win they earned. They squeezed a little extra out of every move they made. Edge rusher was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the interior defensive lineman spot they never got to.

Pick Analysis
Pick1 Rnd1 Marvin Harrison Jr.
A market-rate wide receiver, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Marvin Harrison Jr.. The roster fit checks out.
Pick15 Rnd1 Taliese Fuaga
In the 15th overall pick they get protection for the quarterback at fair value. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick46 Rnd2 Quinyon Mitchell
Quinyon Mitchell is a better player than the 46th pick suggests; smart patience, rewarded. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick75 Rnd3 Christian Haynes
They paid sticker price for Christian Haynes in Round 3, Pick 11, and that is fine. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick110 Rnd4 Michael Pratt
Michael Pratt slipping to pick No. 110 is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. It fills a real need, too.
Pick122 Rnd4 Sataoa Laumea
Sataoa Laumea in pick 122 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick146 Rnd5 Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint
A tidy little value on Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint in No. 146, a step better than break-even. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick193 Rnd6 Jaylen Harrell
Jaylen Harrell in slot 193 is fair value, right on his grade. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
