Keelert DRAFTING FOR THEPackers

Draft Grade — Packers
Overall

FutureB-
A solid, sensible weekend for the Packers: B-. Boards are made to be trusted, and the Packers shredded theirs for Joe Milton III. He came off 31 spots early, and the room will hear about it.
On value alone, Hicks makes the weekend a net positive. They will regret leaving wide receiver for another day if the season turns on it. Edge rusher was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
The weekend tilted hard toward the defense.
Good work on the whole, with wide receiver the one box left unchecked.
Pick Analysis
Pick25
Rnd1
Chop Robinson
In Round 1, Pick 25 they get a double-digit-sack hope. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick41
Rnd2
Edgerrin Cooper
Edgerrin Cooper at pick No. 41 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Pick58
Rnd2
Max Melton
They paid sticker price for Max Melton in the 58th overall pick, and that is fine. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick88
Rnd3
Jaden Hicks
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Jaden Hicks in pick 88. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick91
Rnd3
DJ James
DJ James in No. 91 is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick127
Rnd4
Isaac Guerendo
Isaac Guerendo slipping to the Round 4 slot is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick168
Rnd5
Joe Milton III
Joe Milton III in No. 168 is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick204
Rnd6
Myles Murphy
The board had cheaper options than Myles Murphy at the 204th pick, and it noticed. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick216
Rnd6
Jaylen Harrell
Jaylen Harrell at the 216th overall pick is right where the board had him, plain and simple. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick243
Rnd7
Eyabi Okie-Anoma
Eyabi Okie-Anoma in the Round 7 slot is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick251
Rnd7
Solomon Byrd
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Solomon Byrd well ahead of where he belonged. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
