Crachychan DRAFTING FOR THEVikings
Draft Grade — Vikings
Overall
B

FutureB-
A sensible, unshowy class lands the Vikings a B. For all the names on the card, the loudest question went unanswered. The Vikings walked out of the weekend still thin at quarterback, a hole that has a way of deciding seasons. More right than wrong, and a B to match.
Reaching for Cooper left real value on the table behind him. They banked enough surplus on McMillan to cover a lot of smaller sins.
The roster is better shaped than it was, with safety chief among the fixes.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.
Pick Analysis
Pick24
Rnd1
Tetairoa McMillan
In the 24th overall pick they get a home-run threat at receiver, outstanding value to boot.
Pick97
Rnd3
Gunnar Helm
Gunnar Helm at slot 97 is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick139
Rnd5
Jonas Sanker
Jonas Sanker in No. 139 lands just on the right side of the ledger. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick187
Rnd6
Tyler Cooper
Tyler Cooper at the Round 6 slot is a conviction pick that outran the value. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
