The search is over. The Bears handed the keys to J.J. McCarthy, and the whole operation now runs on his development.

Landing Mitchell that late papers over a lot of smaller sins. They robbed the room blind at the table, and it lifts the grade on its own. The cost of the Eboigbe reach is exactly the players who went right after him.

Leaving cornerback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
