The board owed the Broncos one, and it paid up: Justin Rogers, the No. 225 name on the board, sitting there at Round 7, Pick 39 like a gift left on the doorstep. No fireworks, but a solid B-.

The Solomon pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with quarterback and running back still on the board. They punted on quarterback, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. Linebacker was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
