Draft Grade — Rams
Overall B-
ValueB- NeedB- TradesA+ FutureF
Washington should have been long gone. The Rams pounced, and earned a B-.

Whoever sat across the table from the Rams should ask for a receipt. They cleaned the room out, prying loose far more value than they gave up, and it was the quiet MVP of their weekend. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B-.

Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Washington. That quarterback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.

Pick Analysis
Pick19 Rnd1 Kool-Aid McKinstry
In the 19th pick they get a lockdown presence outside. Need was not the driver here.
Pick52 Rnd2 Payton Wilson
Payton Wilson in pick No. 52 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Pick153 Rnd5 Justin Eboigbe
They did well to land Justin Eboigbe in the Round 5 slot, just ahead of his grade. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick154 Rnd5 Malik Mustapha
By-the-book stuff, Malik Mustapha at Round 5, Pick 18 squarely in line with his ranking. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick177 Rnd6 Walter Rouse
A clean, defensible pick in No. 177 with a little surplus value in Walter Rouse. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick212 Rnd6 Tahj Washington
Circle this one: Tahj Washington at pick 212 is a fall that decides a draft. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick218 Rnd6 Frank Gore Jr.
Frank Gore Jr. at pick 218 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
