When a board-topper like Cody Simon slides to slot 242, you do not overthink it, and the Bears did not.

They robbed the room blind at the table, and it lifts the grade on its own. That edge rusher hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. The Quenton Nelson pickup adds a known quantity to a class of unknowns.

Bottom line, with Ashton Jeanty leading the way, this is a class that should pay off fast and rarely be regretted.
