Jam2113 DRAFTING FOR THESeahawks

Draft Grade — Seahawks
Overall
B
ValueB-
NeedB+
TradesA
FutureB-
The Seahawks let Nubin fall into their laps, and walked away with a B. This is the pick they will still be bragging about in July: Tyler Nubin, the No. 40 name on the board, stolen at pick 60. It nets out to a B, which feels about right.
A whole weekend of picks and running back is somehow still a want. The dealing nudged the ledger their way without much fuss.
In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
Pick Analysis
Pick40
Rnd2
Cooper Beebe
They paid sticker price for Cooper Beebe in pick 40, and that is fine. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick41
Rnd2
Junior Colson
They jumped the gun on Junior Colson, taking him earlier than his grade liked. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick58
Rnd2
Kris Jenkins
They read the board right and Kris Jenkins was the payoff at No. 58. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick60
Rnd2
Tyler Nubin
Tyler Nubin in slot 60 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick128
Rnd4
Roger Rosengarten
They took Roger Rosengarten at par in Round 4, Pick 28, which is nothing to complain about. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick134
Rnd4
Johnny Wilson
The board had Johnny Wilson higher than the Round 4 slot, and the wide receiver fell to them anyway. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick179
Rnd6
Tanor Bortolini
The board had cheaper options than Tanor Bortolini at the 179th overall pick, and it noticed. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick192
Rnd6
Joe Milton III
They paid up for Joe Milton III at the 192nd pick when waiting would have done the job. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick235
Rnd7
Edefuan Ulofoshio
No edge and no loss on Edefuan Ulofoshio in pick 235; it is a wash and a sensible one. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
