Gordon II should have been long gone. The Patriots pounced, and earned a B-.

The best pick of the weekend was also the simplest. The Patriots watched Ollie Gordon II slide 47 picks past his grade and did not hesitate.

The Campbell pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with wide receiver, interior defensive lineman and other spots still on the board. Leaving wide receiver unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. Every board in the league had Simmons lower, and that gap is the story.

Edge rusher is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but wide receiver.
