The trade table was a mismatch, and the Steelers were on the right end of it, hauling in a fortune in surplus value.

They will need Smith to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. For all the activity, quarterback went untouched, which is hard to explain. The Van Pran pick reads as want over need, and the roster will feel it at quarterback, interior defensive lineman and other spots.

Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
