The Bills cashed the board's mistake on Foster: D.

The phones were a trap the Bills kept walking into, shipping out surplus on nearly every deal. Too much went sideways, and the D is the honest tally.

Every board in the league had Lee lower, and that gap is the story. The Bills indulged a want in Jones while a need in linebacker, edge rusher and other spots stayed open.

For all the activity, linebacker went untouched, which is hard to explain. Getting Foster where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, linebacker very much included.

They took Brian Thomas Jr. at par in the 28th pick, which is nothing to complain about. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.

You do not let a wide receiver like Johnny Wilson reach Round 5, Pick 8 and blink. They did not. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
