A costly weekend of dealing drags the Bills to a D.

The trade table was where it all came apart. The Bills shipped out far more than they hauled back, and no amount of spin dresses up the bill.

Every board in the league had Bortolini lower, and that gap is the story. The interior defensive lineman spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. Getting Cooper where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with linebacker chief among the fixes.

A rough weekend that leaves the roster with more questions than answers.

In slot 28 they get a go-to option on the outside at fair value. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick60 Rnd2 Edgerrin Cooper
Edgerrin Cooper slid further than he should have, and pick 60 is lovely value for the linebacker. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.

A straight-up fair deal on Max Melton at the 79th overall pick, value and slot in agreement. It adds depth where they could use a little.

A tidy bit of business in the 128th pick, where Blake Fisher graded well above the range. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.

They paid a round early for Luke McCaffrey in pick No. 134, more than the board wanted. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
