You build a draft on nights like this. Keionte Scott had no business being available in the 92nd overall pick, and the Cowboys did the only sane thing and turned in the card.

They will need Lawrence to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. They punted on quarterback, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.

Wide receiver was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job. The trade work was a quiet net positive.

Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
