The war room fell hard for Jordan Hall, and it showed at Round 7, Pick 3: 68 picks ahead of a board that had other ideas. A D- that will need time and luck to look better.

The trade table is where this weekend went wrong. For all the activity, edge rusher went untouched, which is hard to explain. They banked enough surplus on Cooper Jr. to cover a lot of smaller sins.

Job largely done: quarterback settled and 5 of 8 of the wish list covered.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, edge rusher very much included.

In pick 5 they get a blindside protector, though they paid up to get him. The biggest hole, addressed.

Good price on Colton Hood in the 36th overall pick, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick45 Rnd2 Dillon Thieneman
They took Dillon Thieneman at par in the Round 2 slot, which is nothing to complain about. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.

A market-rate offensive lineman, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Jaeden Roberts. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.

A tidy bit of business in pick No. 94, where Omar Cooper Jr. graded well above the range. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
