Draft Grade — Jaguars
Overall B
ValueB- NeedB+ TradesB FutureB-
A solid, sensible weekend for the Jaguars: B.

Somewhere a scout is still blinking. The Jaguars spent No. 116 on Keith Randolph Jr., a name the board had a full 34 spots lower.

The Mims value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere. Spending an early pick on edge rusher with quarterback open is the decision the grade keeps circling back to. The quarterback hole is the one line item this class does not answer.

Good work on the whole, with quarterback the one box left unchecked.

Pick Analysis
Pick36 Rnd2 Adonai Mitchell
By-the-book stuff, Adonai Mitchell at pick No. 36 squarely in line with his ranking. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick48 Rnd2 Amarius Mims
Taking Amarius Mims in pick 48 is close to grand larceny; an offensive lineman that good had no business lasting this long. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick67 Rnd3 Payton Wilson
Payton Wilson at the Round 3 slot is right where the board had him, plain and simple. The roster fit checks out.
Pick79 Rnd3 Sedrick Van Pran
A premium they did not need to pay, Sedrick Van Pran a notch or two before his time. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick85 Rnd3 Zak Zinter
They liked Zak Zinter enough to skip the value, taking him in Round 3, Pick 22. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick96 Rnd3 Khyree Jackson
Khyree Jackson at slot 96 is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick102 Rnd4 Leonard Taylor III
They went early on Leonard Taylor III in slot 102, and the value did not follow. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick114 Rnd4 Justin Eboigbe
The board had cheaper options than Justin Eboigbe at the 114th overall pick, and it noticed. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick115 Rnd4 Jarrian Jones
A straight-up fair deal on Jarrian Jones at the 115th pick, value and slot in agreement. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick116 Rnd4 Keith Randolph Jr.
They zigged when the board said zag, taking Keith Randolph Jr. at edge rusher with quarterback open.
Pick155 Rnd5 Braelon Allen
Nothing to complain about; Braelon Allen went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick195 Rnd6 Jared Wiley
Jared Wiley at the Round 6 slot is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick211 Rnd6 Kenny Logan Jr.
Value with a capital V on Kenny Logan Jr. in pick No. 211, a genuine coup. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick237 Rnd7 Joshua Cephus
Joshua Cephus at Round 7, Pick 17 is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
