The board owed the Seahawks one, and it paid up: Elijah Arroyo, the No. 96 name on the board, sitting there at the Round 5 slot like a gift left on the doorstep. Call it a sensible B, earned the boring way.

Marshall Jr. has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. Leaving quarterback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. The dealing nudged the ledger their way without much fuss.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with edge rusher chief among the fixes.
