ADVGYM DRAFTING FOR THEChiefs

The Chiefs cashed the board's mistake on Sanders: B-. Somebody in Round 3, Pick 2 was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Chiefs sat still while T.J. Sanders, the No. 40 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium.
Reaching for Parrish left real value on the table behind him. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped wide receiver, which is a strange place to end up.
Job largely done: offensive lineman settled and 2 of 8 of the wish list covered.
Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
Pick Analysis
Pick31
Rnd1
Josh Conerly Jr.
They paid sticker price for Josh Conerly Jr. in the 31st pick, and that is fine. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick63
Rnd2
Ozzy Trapilo
Ozzy Trapilo at No. 63 is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick66
Rnd3
T.J. Sanders
Steal is underselling it; T.J. Sanders at the Round 3 slot is a heist with the alarm still ringing. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick95
Rnd3
Jacob Parrish
This one needs a full-page explanation: Jacob Parrish in the 95th overall pick, miles early. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
