Draft Grade — Buccaneers
Overall B
ValueA+ NeedB TradesC FutureB-
Best value of the weekend goes to the Buccaneers for Harris: B.

Somewhere a general manager is explaining how Tre Harris got past him. The Buccaneers do not have to explain a thing at the Round 6 slot. No fireworks, but a solid B.

A whole weekend of picks and interior defensive lineman is somehow still a want. The trades cost them a sliver of value they did not need to spend.

Job largely done: offensive lineman settled and 7 of 8 of the wish list covered. They trusted the board more than the depth chart.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but interior defensive lineman.

Pick Analysis
Pick28 Rnd1 Travis Hunter
In Round 1, Pick 28 they get a lockdown presence outside, outstanding value to boot. A real need, handled.
Pick59 Rnd2 Ashton Jeanty
They robbed the room for Ashton Jeanty here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick90 Rnd3 Cam Ward
Cam Ward in the 90th pick should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick126 Rnd4 Colston Loveland
Circle this one: Colston Loveland at the Round 4 slot is a fall that decides a draft. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick164 Rnd5 Antwaun Powell-Ryland
Somehow Antwaun Powell-Ryland was still sitting there in the 164th overall pick, and they pounced on premier edge rusher value. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick190 Rnd6 Wyatt Milum
Wyatt Milum at pick No. 190 is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick213 Rnd6 Tre Harris
Taking Tre Harris in slot 213 is close to grand larceny; a wide receiver that good had no business lasting this long. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick240 Rnd7 Dasan McCullough
Dasan McCullough in No. 240 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
