The 49ers got the worse of every deal, and it shows in the D-.

The 49ers clearly saw something nobody else did in Tommy Brockermeyer, taking him 77 picks ahead of his grade. The board is not convinced.

They handed away value on the phones that the picks cannot earn back. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped running back, which is a strange place to end up. It is not that Carson is a bad player; it is that the 49ers had louder needs to answer first.

However the rest shakes out, Clark at that price is a win they earned.

Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and running back is still a hole.
