Grand theft in slot 193: the Bears steal Higgins and grade out a B-.

Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Bears were there to profit. Jay Higgins, the No. 121 name on the board, should have been long gone before the 193rd overall pick. Good, not great, and the B- says as much.

Leaving running back unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. The cost of the Ratledge reach is exactly the players who went right after him.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with edge rusher chief among the fixes.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but running back.
