Draft Grade — Titans
Overall B
ValueB NeedB+ TradesB- FutureB-
Larceny in No. 221 lands the Titans a B, Johnson and all.

Call it larceny. Cornelius Johnson sat on the board until the Round 7 slot, and the Titans did not need to be asked twice. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B.

A whole weekend of picks and edge rusher is somehow still a want. They left with offensive lineman solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off. Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.

Their trades came out a wash either way.

Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.

Pick Analysis
Pick7 Rnd1 Olumuyiwa Fashanu
In the 7th pick they get a long-term starter on the line. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick38 Rnd2 Brian Thomas Jr.
Brian Thomas Jr. is a better player than pick No. 38 suggests; smart patience, rewarded. It fills a real need, too.
Pick106 Rnd4 Andru Phillips
A reasonable price with a little left over, Andru Phillips in the Round 4 slot. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Pick124 Rnd4 James Williams
No edge and no loss on James Williams in Round 4, Pick 24; it is a wash and a sensible one. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick182 Rnd6 Marist Liufau
The board had Marist Liufau higher than the 182nd overall pick, and the linebacker fell to them anyway. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick221 Rnd7 Cornelius Johnson
Cornelius Johnson at pick 221 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick227 Rnd7 Myles Harden
A cornerback of that caliber at No. 227 is the definition of value, full stop. Stacking talent where they were already deep.
Pick242 Rnd7 Nathan Thomas
They read the board right and Nathan Thomas was the payoff at slot 242. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
