Draft Grade — Seahawks
Overall
B
ValueA

FutureB
The Seahawks found their guy under center in Ward: B. Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Seahawks were there to profit. Walter Nolen, the No. 17 name on the board, should have been long gone before pick No. 187.
Cam Ward gives the offense a face and a plan, and the grade leans heavily on whether he hits. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through edge rusher.
Wide receiver was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job. Almost all the early capital went to that side of the ball.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.
Pick Analysis
Pick18
Rnd1
Cam Ward
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Cam Ward at No. 18. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick62
Rnd2
Tyler Booker
Tyler Booker in pick 62 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick82
Rnd3
Jalon Walker
Somehow Jalon Walker was still sitting there in pick No. 82, and they pounced on premier linebacker value. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick131
Rnd4
Jihaad Campbell
Jihaad Campbell at slot 131 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick137
Rnd4
Armand Membou
Armand Membou in the 137th pick should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick173
Rnd5
Tre Harris
A top-tier wide receiver at a bargain, Tre Harris in the Round 5 slot, plain and simple. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick187
Rnd6
Walter Nolen
They barely believed it either: Walter Nolen still on the board at the 187th overall pick. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick212
Rnd6
Elijah Arroyo
Taking Elijah Arroyo in pick 212 is close to grand larceny; a tight end that good had no business lasting this long. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick236
Rnd7
Devin Neal
Steal is underselling it; Devin Neal at No. 236 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
