Draft Grade — Ravens
Overall D+
ValueB NeedB TradesF FutureB-
A costly weekend of dealing drags the Ravens to a D+.

Nobody else had Jimmy Horn Jr. anywhere near slot 245. The Ravens did, by 87 spots, and that gap is the whole story. Hard to defend, and the D+ reflects that.

The trade table is where this weekend went wrong. Jackson falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. A whole weekend of picks and running back is somehow still a want.

In the end, a class the front office will want to grow past quickly.

Pick Analysis
Pick27 Rnd1 Nick Emmanwori
Fair-plus on Nick Emmanwori, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick59 Rnd2 Donovan Ezeiruaku
A reach on Donovan Ezeiruaku in pick 59; the board had better options right there. The roster fit checks out.
Pick69 Rnd3 Maxwell Hairston
Maxwell Hairston at No. 69 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick77 Rnd3 Aireontae Ersery
Aireontae Ersery at the 77th overall pick is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick91 Rnd3 Elic Ayomanor
Elic Ayomanor in the 91st pick is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick128 Rnd4 Jordan Phillips
Value with a capital V on Jordan Phillips in the Round 4 slot, a genuine coup. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick136 Rnd4 Donovan Jackson
Donovan Jackson at Round 4, Pick 35 is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick185 Rnd6 Tyler Shough
Tyler Shough at the Round 6 slot is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick205 Rnd6 Addison West
They let Addison West come to them and pounced at the 205th pick. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick213 Rnd6 Gino Garcia
Gino Garcia in No. 213 is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. A luxury on a unit that was already in good shape.
Pick245 Rnd7 Jimmy Horn Jr.
This one needs a full-page explanation: Jimmy Horn Jr. in pick 245, miles early. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
