Draft Grade — Ravens
Overall D
ValueB NeedB TradesF FutureB-
The Ravens robbed the room for Dike. Final grade: D.

Call it belief, call it a gut call, but John Williams at pick 210 is 32 spots clear of consensus, and that is the headline. A D that will need time and luck to look better.

They lost the exchange badly enough to drag the whole class down. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through quarterback. The Dike steal is the beam this whole class leans on.

They left with cornerback solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

The verdict is not kind, and fairly so; this class has a hill to climb.

Pick Analysis
Pick27 Rnd1 Mike Green
In pick No. 27 they get a premier pass rusher. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick59 Rnd2 Xavier Watts
Xavier Watts at Round 2, Pick 27 is money in the bank, a safety taken below his worth. A minor itch, scratched.
Pick70 Rnd3 Azareye'h Thomas
A slide stopped in the Round 3 slot, with Azareye'h Thomas worth more than the price. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick88 Rnd3 Barrett Carter
A tidy bit of business in No. 88, where Barrett Carter graded well above the range. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Pick91 Rnd3 Savion Williams
A straight-up fair deal on Savion Williams at slot 91, value and slot in agreement. The roster fit checks out.
Pick176 Rnd5 Oronde Gadsden II
Oronde Gadsden II at Round 5, Pick 38 is a conviction pick that outran the value. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick183 Rnd6 JJ Pegues
JJ Pegues in pick No. 183 lands just on the right side of the ledger. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick203 Rnd6 Ollie Gordon II
Ollie Gordon II in No. 203 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick210 Rnd6 John Williams
They talked themselves into John Williams at the Round 6 slot, and the board did not agree. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick212 Rnd6 Hayden Conner
Hayden Conner at pick 212 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick243 Rnd7 Chimere Dike
A top-tier wide receiver at a bargain, Chimere Dike in the 243rd pick, plain and simple. A need, and now a little less of one.
