For all the boxes ticked, the Texans skipped the loudest one: running back is exactly as bare as it was. They moved the roster forward and banked a B- for it.

Every board in the league had Eichenberg lower, and that gap is the story. Bishop at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with wide receiver chief among the fixes. They trusted the board more than the depth chart.
