The Texans did not so much draft Korey Foreman as overpay for him, 168 picks clear of his grade. It sets an uneasy tone for the weekend. There is no dressing it up: a F.

Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. The interior defensive lineman spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. The veteran additions, Jaxson Dart chief among them, give the class a floor the rookies alone would not.

Job largely done: running back settled and 5 of 8 of the wish list covered.

There is no soft landing here; this class has to massively overperform just to matter.
