The Texans let Carson fall and pounced. Final grade: B-.

The best pick of the weekend was also the simplest. The Texans watched Caelen Carson slide 25 picks past his grade and did not hesitate. They moved the roster forward and banked a B- for it.

They will regret leaving edge rusher for another day if the season turns on it. The cost of the Robinson reach is exactly the players who went right after him.

Running back was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job. Nearly every premium pick went to that side of the ball.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
