The weekend has a hole in the middle of it named wide receiver, a need the Texans walked right past.

They banked enough surplus on Allen to cover a lot of smaller sins. Job largely done: running back settled and 4 of 8 of the wish list covered.

Value over need was the throughline, for better and worse.

A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
