The Texans cashed the board's mistake on Ransaw: B.

Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Texans were there to profit. Caleb Ransaw, the No. 211 name on the board, should have been long gone before slot 236.

That edge rusher hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. Running back is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it. They came away with juice, if not much beef up front.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.

Caleb Ransaw in pick 236 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. A minor itch, scratched.

Desmond Watson at the Round 7 slot is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the interior defensive lineman. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
