Best value of the weekend goes to the Texans for Hampton: B.

Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Texans were there to profit. Omarion Hampton, the No. 31 name on the board, should have been long gone before slot 58. The bottom line is a respectable B.

They punted on edge rusher, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. They are betting Bryant proves the room right and everyone else wrong. Running back is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

The skill positions did well by the weekend.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
