The Jackson Hawes selection is the head-turner. The Texans reached 60 spots for him, and it will define how this weekend is remembered. It nets out to a B, which feels about right.

The edge rusher spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. The Golden pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with running back chief among the fixes. Trading back for volume was the quiet throughline of their weekend.
