When a board-topper like Jaydon Blue slides to the Round 7 slot, you do not overthink it, and the Texans did not. It does the job without flash, and the B reflects it.

The edge rusher hole is the one line item this class does not answer. Reaching for Biggers left real value on the table behind him.

On the needs board they went 5 of 8, with running back the one that mattered most. They came away with juice, if not much beef up front.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the edge rusher spot they never got to.
