The real work happened on the phones. The Texans fleeced their trade partners, turning their picks into a noticeably bigger pile than they started with.

Every board in the league had Thornton Jr. lower, and that gap is the story. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through edge rusher.

That is a running back worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. The Braden Fiske deal gives the class an established piece to lean on.

Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
