Best value of the weekend goes to the Texans for Higgins: A-.

The rest of the league will want that one back. Jay Higgins tumbling to the Texans in the 241st pick is a gift they did not have to think twice about. They executed a plan and it shows in the A-.

They robbed the room blind at the table, and it lifts the grade on its own. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up. The veteran additions, Trey Smith chief among them, give the class a floor the rookies alone would not.

The skill positions did well by the weekend.

Bottom line, with Matthew Golden leading the way, this is a class that should pay off fast and rarely be regretted.
